New appointments are in addition to the creation of a new region for Europe

Chartis Europe SA today announced the appointment of five new general managers:

Kelly Lyles, general manager – France and Jeff Heinzleman, General Manager Belgium will report to Nicolas Aubert, Managing Director Southern Europe

Carolina Klint, general manger of Sweden; Jon Starkey, general manager of Hungary and Alex Nagler, general manager of Switzerland will report to Ralph Brand, managing director Northern Europe.

These appointments are part of a wider exercise involving the creation of a new enlarged European Region which will encompass European Economic Area (“EEA”) countries and Switzerland.

Lyles was previously executive director commercial lines in the UK where she had responsibility for all aspects of business development across commercial insurance lines. She joined the group in 1985 and has worked in both London and Paris.

Heintzelman was previously executive vice president in New York where he was responsible for the major accounts practice globally. He joined the Group in 1981 and has spent over 13 years in Europe and the Far East.

Klint was previously major accounts segment manager for Sweden.

She joined the group in 2003 in the claims department and brings a wealth of experience from previous claims and management positions.

Starkey was previously general manager of Russia. He joined the Group in 1998 and has over 20 years of international insurance experience.

Nagler was previously general manager of Sweden. Nagler joined the group in 1999 and has held various underwriting and management positions within the group.

Aubert, managing director responsible for countries in Southern Europe said “I am delighted to have Kelly and Jeff to take these important roles. These talented individuals will be instrumental in helping our business grow. ”

Brand, managing director responsible for countries in Northern Europe said: “Carolina, Jon and Alex have considerable experience and have been valuable members of European management team. I am looking forward to working with them in the years to come.”
