Hedge fund risk “hasn’t put us off” says Pamplona boss
Pamplona boss Paul Thompson has told Reuters the company has completed due diligence on Chaucer and its hedge fund exposure "hasn't put us off”.
"We like the management here and the business mix...and we quite like the insurance space at the moment," he said. The hedge fund risk "hasn't put us off obviously, but it is an issue".
The FT said other potential bidders for Chaucer include Brit Insurance and Amlin.
