Mike Newman steps down after a decade and Claire Foster moves to AXA
Chief information officer (CIO) Mike Newman and business solutions head Claire Foster have become the latest Towergate managers to resign from the broker, Insurance Times has learned.
Newman worked for Towergate for 10 years and became its CIO in 2010, when he was charged with delivering technology transformation across the group. He was previously the group’s IT director.
Newman resigned in December and it is not known where his next move will be.
Foster joined AXA commercial lines and personal intermediary last week as head of operational delivery.
The newly created role will report into operations director Jon Mitchell. Foster will be responsible for the delivery of a range of IT and business-led projects at the insurer. She will also work closely with IT director Ross Burns. Both Burns and Mitchell joined AXA from Towergate.
“I can confirm that Mike Newman and Claire Forster have left the business,” a Towergate spokeswoman said.
