It is with great sadness that I learned of the untimely death of an ex-colleague and friend Chris Gray
I had known Chris from his days with AIG and dealt with him at Bain Clarkson and Lombard Insurance, but it was only when my own company Gan Insurance and Lombard came together following the purchase of Gan by Groupama that
I got to know Chris properly.
As managers of our respective accident and health departments we worked on the company merger and from the first day Chris visited our office in Lime Street it was abundantly clear that he was far more interested in the welfare of his existing and potential new colleagues than his own position.
Chris thrived on the London life and was a much respected and popular part of the London Insurance scene. How sad that he could leave us in such a way.
