Chubb and Hiscox keep first and second places
Chubb is the best insurer for service in commercial lines, and Hiscox was rated second in Insurance Time’s Broker Service Survey 2011.
Sterling swept into third place with a dramatic rise in the ranking, knocking out Arista, which plummeted to 17th place.
Chubb and Hiscox kept their top spots from last year, and were also highest rated in the 2011 rankings for personal lines.
A total of 13 insurers improved their position for commercial lines, eight stayed the same and 10 experienced a decline.
Sterling’s swift rise was driven by ratings improvements in all categories, with comments pointing to good all-round service.
Arista, the sharpest faller, was let down by ratings for claims and quality of cover.
