The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) has reported on a year of significant growth and success in its 2004 Annual Report.

CII director general Dr Sandy Scott highlighted the growth in membership from 66,400 in 2002 to in excess of 83,000 today and told members at the AGM that he was confident of exceeding the target of 90,000 members by the end of 2005.

He also pointed to successes in other areas: "The number of CII students has risen, our range of services has expanded, our global presence has increased and our partnerships have produced outstanding results."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
