Buy adds motor claims investigations and anti-fraud work

Acquisitive outsourced and co-sourced claims management firm Parabis has bought Liverpool-based motor insurance claims investigator MIA, allowing it to offer enhanced third-party claims services to insurers.

Parabis will now undertake claims investigations for motor damage, motor injury and fraudulent claims work. MIA was established over 15 years ago and has full UK coverage.

Integrated service

Tim Roberts of Parabis said: “We are delighted that MIA is now part of Parabis. The addition of its expert and experienced team means that we can now offer our clients a market-leading, fully integrated service. This is something that we have been building towards in recent years.

“We recognise that insurers are under great pressure to contain losses incurred in motor insurance settlement claims. This market awareness and our solutions-seeking approach lies behind the drive for Parabis to develop a complete in-house offering which will directly benefit our clients.

“The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) is seeking to streamline the motor claims process with its Road Traffic Accident (RTA) reforms. Parabis is in the vanguard of embracing this without comprising on quality, fairness and effectiveness.”
