Business process management software provider Staffware has launched a new claims management software solution for the property and casualty insurance market.

Vice president of solutions marketing at Staffware Britt Measures said the software enabled insurers to automate their claims management processes, leading to more efficient claims processing and cost savings.

She said it initially generated a map of the steps involved in claims management and then automated the processes by handling the workflow and ensuring that each staff member was working to capacity.

Measures said Staffware Claims Management could also integrate with the systems of external claims suppliers such as loss adjusters, brokers and approved repairers, ensure that deadlines were met and assist with fraud detection.

She said the system could also integrate claims reported through channels such as telephone, email or fax.

"Regardless of what channel is used the same process rules apply," Measures said.
