Clear acquires Robert Alexander

Clear Insurance Management said it has acquired New Malden broker Robert Alexander.

The deal is the 22nd acquisition made by Clear since it was set up in 2001, and brings the total premiums handled by the group to more than £100m.

Clear chief executive Howard Lickens said more acquisitions are on the way.

“We are due to make further acquisitions in 2018 and are always very interested in talking with brokers who share our values and culture,” he said.

The Robert Alexander team will join its managing director Bob Whiteway at Clear’s offices in the City of London.

A former member of the Marsh Probroker network, Robert Alexander controls more than £2.5m in premiums.
