Network also confirms extension to agreements with its panel of insurers

COBRA Network has confirmed three new members have joined the independent network.

They are Abacus Insurance Services based in Margate, Crowthorne Insurance Services in Crowthorne and Hall Insurance Services in London.

It takes to 10 the number of new members to join the network in the past 12 months, and COBRA expects to complete a further four new membership applications over Q1 2014.

The network also said it was in talks with a nine more brokers across the UK.

COBRA sales and operations director Graham Ringer said: “I am pleased to welcome Abacus, Crowthorne and Hall Insurance Services to our network. These brokers have not been members of any network in the past and we are proud that they have chosen to work with COBRA.

“We believe that COBRA’s robust relationship with our insurer partners is a significant factor for brokers in choosing to join us and that the value we offer our insurer partners is reflected in the support they provide to our members.”

Chief executive Steve Burrows said: “It’s great to see COBRA Network continuing to attract well-established insurance brokers. With seven brokers added in 2013, and the three new members this month, we are adding a new member almost every month, which is a strong endorsement of our business model.”

Ringer also revealed that the network’s preferred panel of insurers had signed up to new long-term deals.

“I am also pleased to confirm that COBRA Network’s panel insurers are now agreeing to long-term deals over three years. This strong commitment demonstrates their confidence in COBRA Network,” he said. “Each year we canvass our members on their preferred insurers and we are pleased that our partners match our members’ needs for 2014.”
