Outsourcing is no longer exclusive to companies such as Prudential and HSBC

Outsourcing is spreading across the entire insurance market, an industry commentator has claimed.

Anthony Hilton, financial editor at the Evening Standard, told delegates at the Insurance Times Profitable Business Growth conference that outsourcing is no longer exclusive to companies such as Prudential and HSBC.

"It's getting down to the small and medium-sized businesses," he said. "At every level, companies are getting more imaginative in the ways they are dealing with costs."

Hilton added that changes in technology and regulation were forcing all companies to think about outsourcing even if not choosing to do it.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
