Sam Hovey made chief financial officer, following stints at HSBC Insurance Brokers and Ratner Mackenzie

Cooper Gay has appointed Sam Hovey as chief financial officer for its UK business.

Hovey joined Cooper Gay in April 2008 as group financial controller. Qualified ACA in 1999, she held a number of finance roles in the London broking market prior to joining Cooper Gay, including positions at HSBC Insurance Brokers and Rattner Mackenzie, formerly part of the HCC Group.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
