Business development director leaves broker

Cooper Gay Swett & Crawford business development director Geoff Kinsella has resigned.

Cooper Gay's staff were told about Kinsella’s decision in an email today.

Kinsella spent more than five years at Cooper Gay, joining from JLT where was chief operating officer.

He was also a member of Cooper Gay's group executive committee. His responsibilites included group strategy and sales & marketing.

Kinsella follows Jim Summers, the former chief executive of Cooper Gay UK and Lloyd’s business who quit in November join Guy Carpenter.

Group chief executive Toby Esser took over as boss of Cooper Gay & Co on an interim basis, handing over to former Bluefin chief operating officer Shaun Hooper on a temporary basis.

A Cooper Gay Swett & Crawford spokesman declined to comment further.
