Countrywide members who commit to growth targets with insurers will be able to earn extra commission under new schemes launched this week by the network.

A total of five Countrywide ‘clubs' are now available, covering household and commercial business.

AXA and Fortis are the first insurers to launch household clubs, with Zurich being the first to launch fleet, shops, offices and commercial combined clubs.

Further clubs will be added from other Countrywide insurers.

The level of support commitment ranges from £50,000 to £100,000 GWP.

A total of 50 brokers have already signed up, said Countrywide, which is part of Open International.

The arrangement includes numerous commission and rating advantages, in addition to those already offered by Countrywide.

Brokers who join Zurich commercial clubs benefit from increased commission, discretionary discounts, an interest free direct debit facility, and free uninsured loss recovery on fleet cases, it said.

David Smith, managing director of Zurich Commercial's broker division, said: "In today's market it's vital to work with networks that can help brokers grow their accounts with us and win business."

Countrywide head John Dawson added: "Countrywide clubs are all about providing recognition and reward for brokers' support and commitment across specific business lines and specific insurers."

Countrywide has over 750 members transacting £2.9bn of UK general insurance business.
