Existing personnel to remain with fraud-hit broker
Apex Insurance Services has reached agreement with Andy Hosking, of Grant Thornton regarding part of the fraud-hit broker, ESR, which went into administration last week.
Apex will be an appointed representative of Lloyd's broker Crispin Speers and Partners, with CSP being the majority shareholder of the company.
ESR directors Paul Goodman and David Taylor will continue to lead the company using existing personnel. The broker will continue to service its traditional markets: niche areas of wholesale, entertainment and sports in addition to specific areas of professional indemnity, liability and high net worth.
Group managing director Crispin Speers said: "Much of the Apex business is complementary to our existing account and we are all excited by the new opportunities for both our companies – I am also pleased that this transaction provides continuity of service and support for all our Clients and Agents throughout the market."
