Loss adjuster moves on concerns that fraudsters are turning their attention to EL and PL claims

Cunningham Lindsey has appointed Sharon Hurst as a fraud manager in its liability services division to support an increased focus on fraud investigation.

Hurst, who has joined Cunningham Lindsey from Zurich, has more than 20 years’ experience in claims handling and has specialised in fraud for the past five years.

Cunningham's said she will work to enhance the fraud strategy of the iability services division, overseeing a review of its fraud identification processes.

Hurst will report to Allan Scobie, operational development manager in liability services, and work closely with Cunningham Lindsey’s investigation services operation.

“Fraud is a growing issue in liability claims. Working with our Investigation Services team, we will further reinforce Cunningham Lindsey’s reputation as a specialist liability practice by helping protect our clients against this area of fraud exposure," Hurst said.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
