CV Starr chairman Maurice Greenberg has said that the company will be an underwriter for some of Lloyd's of London's reinsurance operations in China, according to MarketWatch.
Speaking at a media briefing in Shanghai, Greenberg said CV Starr will underwrite part of the reinsurance risk Lloyd's of London accepts from the local market once it starts up in China.
"You make an underwriting profit and you'll invest the funds you receive in the economy here, and you're providing a service to the market because the market needs reinsurance," Greenberg said.
