DAS and Oak Underwriting embark on a strategic partnership and offer automatic cyber cover with HNW policies

DAS and Oak Underwriting have announced a strategic partnership and unveiled a new high net worth cover cyber add on.

The add on to its HNW policies means that Oak’s high net worth offering will include cyber cover as standard from 1 December.

DAS managing director insurance UK & Ireland James Henderson commented: “The high-net-worth insurance market requires innovative, tailored products that meet the changing needs of its customers and I am delighted that we’ve been able to demonstrate how we can build customer-centric offerings through the new partnership with Oak Underwriting. This is a very important strategic partnership with Oak and RSA, which will be a significant focus for us.”

All members of a policyholder’s immediate family, as well as domestic employees, will be covered. Oak will remove viruses, fix damaged computers and advise customers on preventing cyber attacks.

Oak will also offer an optional upgrade which will cover hacking, ransomware attacks or personal data misuse up to £100,000.

Oak Underwriting managing director Mark Coffey said: “Our home offering has been updated to ensure our HNW customers are protected against the risks they face today that are not necessarily included in a more traditional policy. Our priority is to ensure that we are providing innovative insurance solutions that meet the expectation and need of our valued customer base.”
