Loss adjuster names two internal promotions.

Davies Chartered Loss Adjusters has appointed Iain Maclean to the operations board as director of project managed subsidence services, and named Nick Gazzard associate director reporting to the board to head corporate governance for the entire group.

After 17 years in construction and a further 16 years in loss adjusting, Maclean joined Davies in November 2006 with a remit of developing a quality driven, cost-effective project managed subsidence claims handling offering from scratch. Since its June 2007 launch, the dedicated subsidence division, under Maclean's leadership, has more than doubled the group’s market share of the subsidence claims handling market.

Meanwhile, prior to Gazzard's appointment as associate director, he was responsible for compliance at Davies. In heading up the corporate governance operation, he will now manage internal controls and establish and maintain systems and procedures to ensure all companies in the group comply with Financial Services Authority regulation and statute law.
