Deloitte & Touche has teamed up with law firm Davies Arnold Copper to create a one-stop-shop consultancy for captives.

Deloitte & Touche director of business insurance consulting Angus Tucker said that the number of captives being developed was gathering pace and that captive managers had traditionally appointed a series of consultants to manage claims.

Tucker said that the alliance was designed to help captive managers look after their time more efficiently.

According to AM Best, 462 new captives were registered in 2002, compared with 316 the year before.
