After much soul searching Allianz Cornhill has picked the winner of its phone stand competition (16 January, Insurance Times).
The team unanimously agreed that the desk barbecue should be judged the winner, fire risk notwithstanding.
So the lucky winner of £50 donated to the charity of her choice is Stackhouse Poland operations manager Gill Kersley. She has chosen to donate the money to Cancer Research UK.
So what was the idea? Kersley said: Place a nightlight in the bottom of the phone stand and, using paper clips (with bosses' permission of course), hang small pieces of meat around the top to cook while you are busy with your work.
"This way you can enjoy a hot dinner without leaving your desk. Bosses will love this as productivity increases no end."
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
