We could have a Christmas number one on our hands if the Churchill dog does justice to 2 Unlimited's 1993 hit No Limit.
Bakshelf Dog, the Churchill dog's very streetwise stage name, is releasing a single on 9 December. The double A-side also includes covers of Perry Como's Magic Moments and Elvis' Hound Dog.
He will donate all the profits to his mates at the National Canine Defence League, the UK's largest dog welfare charity.
Bakshelf's manager, Rich Barker, said: "The dog has embarked on a pop career this Christmas for the sake of his favourite canine pals and their charity.
"He has already built up a massive following and we believe this
CD will appeal to an even wider audience.
"We hope it will be a huge hit, resulting in a large donation for such a worthwhile cause."
