Its research shows that more than one in 10 motorists on UK roads is at risk of having a claim turned down because of a lie on their insurance application.
Top of the list of likely fibs is the location of overnight parking, with 11% of motorists claiming that their vehicle is parked on a drive or in a garage overnight, instead of on the street.
And 6% of motorists reduce the value of their cars to reduce the premium. Backchat does not advise this if you drive a Ferrari.
