Regulation is a hot topic. And as Sarah Wilson of the FSA took the podium at the Association of Medical Insurance Intermediaries conference last week, there was a definite mood change in the audience.
Some brokers sat forward in their seats and others snickered at the back when Wilson declined to answer questions directly.
One broker shouted, "Well, what does that mean?" when a question was avoided.
But as another broker rightly commented: "She was at pains not to give concrete facts which could hang her 18 months down the line." Nice to know the FSA is watching its back so carefully.
