Endsleigh Insurance has launched a new policy for people living in shared rented accommodation.
The Personal Contents Insurance for Rented Accommodation policy covers sums from £3,000 for an individual and £5,000 for a couple.
Prices for the policy start at £48.30 a year and discounts are offered for additional security.
Computers are covered as part of standard contents, with accidental damage cover available as an optional extra.
For specified belongings, cover is available up to £7,500, with a single article limit of £3,000.
Stuart Wartalski, Endsleigh's marketing operations manager, said: “We are aware from our experience in insuring students just how difficult it is for young professionals starting out to get the insurance cover they need.”
