Parliament to set up EL register and scheme of last resort

The Employers' Liability Insurance Bureau Bill received its second reading in the House of Commons but the debate was adjourned until 26 February 2010, emplaw.co.uk reports.

The Bill would establish a scheme of last resort from those injured but where the employer has since gone bust and no insurer can be traced. It would also hold registered of all EL policies.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
