Team will be based in Grantham

Elite Insurance has formed its own in-house fraud prevention department.

Based in the company’s Grantham office in Lincolnshire, the team will focus on monitoring, detecting and preventing insurance fraud.

The insurer said that as an active member of the Insurance Fraud Bureau, it is committed to reducing the insurance industry’s exposure to fraudulent claims and the price that “honest” customers are left to pay.

Chief executive Jason Smart said: “It is an absolute disgrace that a small minority of individuals are having such a negative impact on our customers and we will do everything we can to prevent this from happening.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
