Lawclub Legal Protection, the Bristol-based division of Cornhill Insurance, has recently joined forces with Layton Blackham to issue what will be known as the Elite Home Legal & Domestic Assistance policy.
According to both parties, the agreement combines Lawclub's experience in the legal expenses market with Layton Blackham's broker experience.
The policy is a version of the Lawclub Family Protect plan, tailor-made for Layton Blackham.
It includes benefits such as up to £50,000 of legal cover for motor prosecution defence; £25,000 of legal cover for clinical disputes and employment contracts; up to £50,000 of legal cover for European consumer contract; up to five hours mediation in dispute with a neighbour; and a 24-hour helpline for domestic assistance, counselling, emergency childcare and legal advice.
According to Steve Rowley, business developer at Lawclub, there is strong potential for business growth.
The account starts off as 10,000 units, but Rowley is confident that the Elite policy has the potential to rise to 20,000 over the next couple of years.
