Employment practices liability is a growing market, according to industry experts.
Royal & SunAlliance employment practices liability manager Mike Bird said that applications for employment tribunals have risen more than 60% over the past three years and 25% in the last year alone.
He added that good employment practices are not enough. "Claims do arise and the cost of defending an emploment claim, even an unfounded one, can be substantial," said Bird.
