Endurance Specialty has announced that its initial estimates of losses from Hurricane Rita will reach approximately $85m.
Endurance said the estimate was net of reinsurance, reinstatement premiums and tax benefits.
The company added that to date, reported claims as a result of Hurricane Rita have been limited and that accordingly, actual losses from the hurricane may ultimately differ materially from its initial estimated losses.
