Equity Insurance Group has acquired Burton upon Trent broker, Ben Robinson Insurance Consultants.
Ben Robinson, who founded the brokerage in 1984, will continue to trade from its town centre office with eight employees.
Mike Hutton, Equity's managing director of branch broking said: "Ben Robinson fits the group's acquisition criteria. It's a well-established high street-based broking business with a full range of motor, household and commercial accounts."
