Insurance Times will be staging a number of premier events in the autumn covering major industry issues.

  • Bottomline profitability is the insurance industry's mantra, but how can insurers and brokers sustain growth?
  • On 15 September, Insurance Times in association with the Welsh Development Agency is holding the Profitable Business Growth conference at the St David's Hotel to debate these issues.

Leading industry figures will discuss where the opportunities of the future really lie and whether technology can help bring contract certainty to the market.

  • The use of capital in the market is crucial. With venture capitalists and investment houses buying into brokers and backing consolidators, where does this leave the smaller players in the market? How can new entrants compete in this market?
  • On 24 October, the Insurance Times Capital conference will address a range of investment issues. Speakers include Sir Laurie Magnus of Lexicon Partners, Des Potter of Barclays Bank, Nigel Barton and Sian Fisher of Oxygen Insurance Services and Neil Utley of Equity.

  • On 2 December, a slice of Rio's Carnival spirit will be served at the Hilton Metropole in Birmingham at this year's Insurance Times awards. Don't miss the party of the year. Entry forms now available.
  • Our Top 20 regional awards in association with Grant Thornton continue. On 29 September we are in Birmingham and on
    27 October in Manchester.
