Broker says appointment can take business "to the next level"

Former CBG director Stephen Darcy has joined rival Manchester insurance broker Caunce O’Hara.

Darcy has become managing director of Caunce O'Hara.

Darcy was executive director of CBG Group before leaving in September last year. Darcy was managing director of CBG's insurance operations.

Darcy said: “Caunce O’Hara are a significant player in the insurance arena and actually a remarkable business when you look at comparisons not just within their peer group but across the professional services sector.

"Very much the quiet achiever, the directors and staff have developed a terrific brand and a successful business which brings them great pride and I am genuinely privileged to be taking up this position.”

Counce O'Hara was co-founded by Chris Caunce and Martin O’Hara in 1995.

Caunce said: "We are delighted we convinced Stephen to join us.

"His achievements speak for themselves and his drive and expertise will help take our business to the next level.

"We are passionate about our business and committed to continued profitable growth."

He continued: "Where other firms are perhaps experiencing the fallout from the economic downturn, Caunce O’Hara are benefitting from a strong culture of professional service delivery.

"Our staff are a key ingredient and we are extremely pleased that we now have Stephen as part of our recipe.”
