A former Marsh senior vice president, Tony Murphy, has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanour fraud charge.
The charge is related to New York attorney general Eliot Spitzer's investigation of the brokerage, a spokesman for the attorney general's office confirmed.
Murphy, who worked in the excess casualty unit of Marsh's global broking division, faces up to a year in prison.
