Simon Townsend left Towergate in January 2014
Ex-Towergate regional managing director for the South East Simon Townsend has rejoined the broker.
Insurance Times understands that Townsend, who left Towergate in January 2014, has been appointed on a contractual basis.
According to his LinkedIn profile his new role is a commercial director within the retail division.
He will be responsible for the strategic development within the B2C space working with Towergate’s specialist niche businesses to create “greater customer value” propositions in existing, adjacent and new markets, including acquisitions.
Townsend was previously the managing director of Clements Worldwide’s London operations.
He left the role in May 2015.
