Sagicor acquisition leads to buoyant moo(d)

The cows, chickens, pigs and ducks of Barbados this week rejoiced following Sagicor’s acquisition of Barbados Farms.

Backchat’s agriculture correspondent in the Caribbean, Mr Quack, said that livestock shareholders across the island are in line for a multi-million dollar windfall after the deal, worth Barbados $79,383,155 (approx. £11.50), was finalised.

Sagicor says the move will allow them to “participate in an economic activity which is important to the sustainable development of Barbados”. MOOOOO!
