News that more than 3,000 Boeing aircraft could have faulty fuel pumps has put insurers on alert.
Although many insurers said it was too early to comment, if the Boeing 737s, 747s and 757s are grounded because of the fault, insurance companies could be facing travel, business interruption and other claims.
"It could be a huge story," said one senior source.
