The regulator has confirmed it is planned to delay the IDD until October

The FCA has confirmed that it is planned to delay implementation of the Insurance Distribution Directive until 1 October.

The European Commission has proposed a delay until then, which is currently under consideration by the European Parliament and the European Council. The Treasury announced last week that it will delay transposing the IDD into UK law until the outcome of the delay proposal has been confirmed.

The IDD had been scheduled to come into force on 23 February.
