When the Churchill copywriters coined the tagline `Give the dog a phone' for the insurer's advertising campaign, they didn't realise it would be taken literally.
Five year-old Matthew Rushden fed his sister's new £80 mobile phone to the family dog.
But Churchill did arrange a replacement phone when it heard about the incident.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
