I played pretty average rugby for far too long (hung up the boots – again – in 2007). Along the way I managed to get the chance to hit Bill Clinton during inter-college matches in Oxford, and have a trial for the Hong Kong national side.

Sent packing...

I worked in Hong Kong for New Zealand Insurance as a result of dating the general manager's daughter in the UK. The general manager was keen to put several thousand miles between us.

The master...

I have a Master of Science degree in Business Administration from City University (I majored in Insurance and Risk Management) as well as a Master of Arts in Zoology from Christ Church, Oxford

Dizzy heights...

I have climbed up Mount Toubkal in Morocco, and fallen down Mount Olympus in southern Turkey

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
