Sir Callum McCarthy in link with shepherd
A week after former FSA chief John Tiner was awarded a CBE in the Queen’s New Year Honours List, the regulatory body has attracted another honour, this time for FSA chairman Sir Callum McCarthy.
Sir Callum was granted the Freedom of the City of London in a ceremony this week, an honour that gives him the right to wander around drunk, wear a sword and drive sheep across London Bridge.
Very handy, of course.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
