Nigel Barham to assist with service and client base expansion

GAB Robins has appointed Nigel Barham as the new head of its Subsidence and Building Services division in the UK.

Barham will be responsible for the management of GAB Robins’ Subsidence and Surveying Centre of Excellence, based in Romford.

The Centre provides insurers with a dedicated technical unit providing back office support, technical library, and access to surveying, engineering and construction expertise nationwide.

He will also play an important role in the continued growth of the division’s client base and will oversee expansion of the services offered.

Mike Jones, Chief Operating Officer for GAB Robins UK, said: "Our Subsidence and Building Services division already has a strong reputation for service quality and technical skills. Nigel’s appointment will build on this still further. His extensive expertise together with a proven track record in first class service delivery will be important aspects of our growth strategy.”

Barham is a Chartered Loss Adjuster and a Chartered Civil Engineer with over 15 years experience in the development of project managed services for subsidence and building damage claims.

He holds membership of the DEFRA and ABI working groups on flood resilient materials, is a member of the Subsidence Forum Executive and Chairman of the Forum’s Customer and Communication Task Force.
