First three graduates begin loss adjuster training

GAB Robins has launched a new graduate scheme with the Financial Skills Partnership and has recruited its first three graduates.

James Grima, Ashley Marsland and Niall Metcalfe have taken up placements in the company’s claims management and property claims areas. They will take up loss adjuster roles at the end of the two-year programme.

Mike Odell, head of training and development at GAB Robins, said: "Loss adjusting can provide dynamic and rewarding career opportunities but the profession is not at the front of the minds of graduates - this has hindered progress in attracting new talent. We believe the scheme will enable young talent to see the true potential on offer and to quickly build their experience."


The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
