Appoint, appointment, hand, handshake, shake, new, join

Insurer Cardif Pinnacle has hired former Arthur J Gallagher partnerships head Alan Sanderson as chief commercial officer.

Sanderson joined the BNP Pariibas-owned insurer on 1 December.

Sanderson left his role as the partnerships managing director for Gallagher Insurance Solutions in September and was replaced by Andy Tedstone.

Before joining Gallagher, Sanderson worked for broking group Brightside. He was also director of trading at insurer Aviva for eight years.

Cardif Pinnacle said Sanderson’s appointment is part of its overall strategic plan, which is focused on targeted growth and diversification within key markets.

The insurer described Sanderson as “a great asset to a strong and ambitious management team”.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
