Laurence Ives appointed to newly-created role

Loss adjuster Garwyn has hired Laurence Ives (pictured) for the newly created role of business development director.

Ives was previously strategic and development director for law firm Hill Dickinson.

In his new role at Garwyn, which begins on 3 December, Ives will report to chief executive Artur Niemczewski and have overall responsibility for new business.

Ives is an associated of the Chartered Insurance Institute. He has worked at insurance broker Marsh as head of UK retail claims. He has also previously held positions at Towergate and Independent.

Niemczewski said: “It says much for the quality and professionalism of our business that we have attracted someone of Laurence’s calibre to the role of business development director. He has a high profile within the market, and a proven track record of success. We look forward to Laurence bringing a fresh and innovative approach and strengthening Garwyn’s client value proposition.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
