Andrew Wallas has resigned as chairman of Glencairn. He will be succeeded by Steve Hearn.

Hearn joined the company in 2002 from Marsh where he headed up the UK and European affinity business. He was appointed chief executive of Glencairn in 2003.

Angus Simpson has been appointed managing director. He joined the company and its board in 1998 and formerly led the specialist risk division.

Glencairn has also appointed Charles Lane as an executive director to the board and Kevin Hogan has joined the board as an executive director.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
