Goodhealth Worldwide
Martin Garcia has been appointed chief executive of international healthcare provider, Goodhealth Worldwide as the company launches plans to expand its operations throughout Europe, the Middle East, South America and Asia.

Garcia, who has been with the company for more than seven years, was most recently involved in setting up Goodhealth's successful operation in Hong Kong. He previously headed the company's Dubai operation, which he also launched as a greenfield operation.


Towergate
David Torrance has joined Towergate Underwriting as finance director. He joins from AXA, where he was finance director of the general insurance operations. Prior to that he spent 11 years at PPP Healthcare.

Talbot Underwriting
Nick Hales joins Talbot Underwriting at Lloyd's in the newly created role of director of marketing and corporate development. He is also a manager of Underwriting Risk Services, the group's service company.

CNA
CNA has appointed Andrew Dougall as European casualty underwriting manager. He will relocate to CNA's headquarters in London from CNA's Manchester office where over the past three years he has built up a non-marine operation.

Crispin Speers & Partners
Crispin Speers & Partners has recruited Greg Ferguson. He has been a leading broker within the market in recent years having initially worked in the accident and life areas of underwriting at Lloyd's. He has more recently worked for brokers including Willis.

Smart & Cook
Brendan Harker has been appointed associate director within the insurance broking division at Smart & Cook's offices in Blackfriars Court, Newcastle.

He has more than 20 years' experience in the industry, specialising in the motor insurance sector and joins Smart & Cook from Marsh UK where he worked in the motor industry division as regional manager for the North East & Scotland.

Towry Law
Gavin McLaren and John Cockshutt, who until recently held senior positions at Willis Group, are to head the newly launched specialist division advising corporate clients on credit and political risk insurance at Towry Law.

Between them they have more than 25 years' experience dealing in credit and political risk insurance.

The Broker Network
The Broker Network has appointed Debi Mawer to its business development team as underwriting manager. For more than 12 years, she has worked as underwriting/operations manager at BIB Underwriting.

Christian Skeels joins as software development team leader. He has been at The Broker Network since 1999.

Rupert Beckett and Simon Ballard have joined Lloyd's broker Cameron Richard and Smith Insurance Services (CRS) to develop its newly formed yacht division, specialising in the placement of super-yacht risks within Lloyd's and the London Market.

Neal Samarji has been appointed head of litigation at Elliotts Solicitors in Manchester. He has significant experience in a wide range of insurance matters and will oversee the 30-strong litigation department which has niche expertise in personal injury, professional liability and employers' liability.

Jacqui Bickerton, a member of the insurance team at North West law firm DWF, has been appointed vice chair of the Liverpool branch of the Institute of Legal Executives (ILEX). The firm has also appointed four new solicitors. Sonia Luthra joins the intellectual property team. Rita Krumins and Rowena Tsai join the insurance team and Joanne Pearce joins the human resources service DWF HRhorizons.

Keoghs
Martin McAleer rejoins Keoghs' personal injury team from James Chapman. He was previously at Keoghs for six years.

Clyde & Co
International law firm Clyde & Co has appointed five new partners from within the firm: Andrew Bicknell; Alex McIntosh; Adam Taylor-Smith; Derek Reid and Hong Kong-based Michael Kelly.

James Chapman & Co
Tim Purrier has been appointed as practice manager at James Chapman & Co.

He joins from the Solicitors' Indemnity Fund (SOF) where he managed a team of claims handlers. Prior to joining SOF, he had more than 20 years' experience in private practice.

LOSS ADJUSTERS

IAS
Mike Roberts has joined IAS to promote and develop its loss adjusting services in Birmingham and the West Midlands. He has more than 30 years' loss adjusting experience. In recent years, Roberts was the operations director of Applied Technology Adjusting.

Crawford & Company
Richard Trevelyan has been appointed as Crawford's new UK business director with responsibility for management reporting and operational effectiveness.

Trevelyan joined the loss adjusting profession in 1981, spent nine years working as an adjuster and 12 years in branch and regional management roles.

TECHNOLOGY

Sirius
Insurance technology provider, Sirius Financial Systems, has appointed Gareth Davies to the newly created role of managing director, support services.

Davies has been employed by Sirius for more than 11 years and has held a number of executive roles in customer support.

For the past 15 months, he has been chief operating officer at the company's US subsidiary in Denver, Colorado.

Claimsplus
Motor claims specialist Claimsplus has appointed Stephen Tripp as call centre head.

He was formerly insurance claims contact centre manager for Zurich Financial Services for two years. He has worked in the insurance industry for 20 years.

FMW Risk Services
FMW has appointed Philip Radley as a senior account executive. He specialises in the arrangement of credit insurance, bonds and guarantees and has had more than 15 years' experience in the Lloyd's and London Markets.
