Broker-only insurer MMA Insurance has appointed Daniel Andrews as its travel manager, underwriting.
He has seven years' experience in the insurance industry, which includes responsibility for underwriting and developing commercial business in the general insurance sector, and specific responsibility for underwriting travel insurance sold via insurance brokers and intermediaries.
Omni Whittington
Omni Whittington has recruited Fiona Forrester from Lloyd's Market Association (LMA). She will join Omni Whittington Capital Management as special project manager.
Forrester has worked in the London Market in various capacities since leaving university and training as a chartered accountant. After qualifying she worked for a non-Lloyd's agency and a Lloyd's broker before joining the Lloyd's regulatory directorate in 1985.

Swiss Re
Subject to regulatory approval, Swiss Re has appointed Ruurd de Fluiter as chief executive officer of Swiss Reinsurance Company. With effect from 1 July 2002, he will replace Martin Albers, who is to head up the Risk Solutions unit of Swiss Re's Financial Services business group.
Ruurd de Fluiter has been with the Swiss Re Group since 1988 and his latest role was as market executive for Benelux and Southern European countries.
He joined Swiss Re in 1988 after several years as a management consultant and roles in global companies, including Shell and ABB.

Holman
Lloyd's brokers Holman Insurance Brokers have appointed Nick Cook as senior wholesale broker.
Cook was previously with Markel as UK commercial property underwriter.
Aon
Aon Motor Accident Management, a division of Aon, has promoted Garry Holman to the position of European director of technical services. Holman has worked at Aon since 1988 where he has held various positions, including, most recently that of UK engineering manager.
Mary Johnston-Stokes has been promoted to the new position of European sales and marketing director.
Concentrating on major blue-chip organisations operating fleets on a pan-European basis, the role will involve extensive co-ordination with Aon's strategic account managers, accident management and marketing teams across Europe.
Jason Murton has been appointed as European management information development executive. He has considerable experience in this field gained over the last four years in Aon's management information department.
Steve Rattle has been appointed to the position of European operations director Previously he worked for AMAM, where he was managing director of the company's UK operation for the last three years.

Pinsent Curtis Biddle
UK law firm Pinsent Curtis Biddle announce the appointment of Tim Burton as head of its national insurance and reinsurance practice.
Burton has been group legal counsel at Benfield for the past three years.
At the same time, the firm has appointed leading insurance insolvency expert, Peter Fidler, as a consultant based in the firm's London office.
Prettys
Prettys Solicitors in Ipswich has appointed David Rogers as consultant within its insurance division. In this role he will work on major cases involving catastrophic injury and advising insurers and others on multi jurisdictional issues.
Previously, he worked at WH Thompson before joining Holman Fenwick and Willan, handling marine accident claims throughout the UK and Europe.

Bolton-based law firm Keoghs has appointed four new partners and six new associates. Partners Tracey Hardman and Matthew Rogers join the commercial litigation department as does associate Jo Hewitt. Partner Jon Bachelor and associates Chris Booth, Gary Fitzpatrick and Paul Hassan are all in the personal injury team. In addition, partner David Wynn works on employers' and public liability cases, as does associate Amanda Nuttall. Nuttall also investigates fraudulent motor claims.

CGI Europe
CGI Group (Europe) has announced its new director of infrastructure services will be Maris Rolmanis. He will be responsible for the infrastructure services to both current and future CGI customers in addition to CGI's in-house IT services.
Rolmanis has 30 years' experience in the IT industry. Starting at IBM, where he led teams of systems engineers working with IBM's largest UK IT clients. He then moved to Hitachi Data Systems.

Other
Autoglass
Vehicle glass repair and replacement specialist Autoglass has appointed Simon Manning as business manager.
He joined Autoglass in 1997 as a call centre adviser and later moved to the billing department. He moves to his new position from the customer services team, bringing with him a wide understanding of the Bedford-based company.
Richard White has been appointed as national sales manager. He will manage the team of business managers who look after insurance and fleet partners. He joined Autoglass as a business manager in May 2001 with responsibility for accounts such as Fortis, Lloyds, HSBC and Prudential.
He was formerly a manager of public sector accounts for the Astron Group and before that spent six years with Unipart International managing bodyshop sales and launching after-sales market panels.
R3: Group
R3: Group has appointed David Denyer as an account executive. He will focus on introducing new products to existing affinity schemes and clients. Previously he worked for Amlin for 22 years in new business development.
The National Trust
Richard Owen has joined The National Trust as insurance services manager. He is a past president of the Exeter Chartered Insurance Institute and has 28 years' insurance experience gained with CGNU.
