MCE has appointed Naaman Jalees as product manager spearheading the company's taxi insurance launch.

Jalees joins from Insurance Line, where he was taxi product manager.

Miller
Miller has appointed Beverley Marsden as associate director - special risks.

Marsden joins from Heath Lambert, where she specialised in placing asset and contract-based political risks and trade finance business.

CR
Peter Smith and Ralph Ehlers have joined Lloyd's broker CRS to take over the day-to-day management of the firm.

Smith was previously group managing director of PWS Holdings, and Ehlers is founder and former chief executive of Insurecom.

CRS founders Richard Cole and Paul Leith-Smith will now focus on servicing and developing the group's client base.

Heath Lambert has appointed Chris Wright to head up its sports and leisure practice.

Wright joins from Marsh, where he was client services director of its sports, leisure and entertainment practice for three years.

Guildford-based broker Pendleton May has appointed John Goodson in the new role of senior account manager.

Goodson joins from Graham Brown Insurance in Guildford, where he was a director.

Ace European Group has appointed Simon Twitchett as senior directors' and officers' underwriter in its Manchester branch.Twitchett joins from Heath Lambert.

Chub
Chubb Europe has appointed Jan Auerbach as strategic marketing manager.

Auerbach was previously country manager for Chubb in Denmark.

Allianz Cornhill
David Myers has been appointed development manager at Allianz Cornhill Commercial's Birmingham office.

Myers was previously regional business manager at Allianz Cornhill Engineering, having joined the company in 1997.

UIA
Kevin Dilley has joined UIA from Royal Bank of Scotland as head of customer management.

Dilley will work with marketing team head Damian Reilly to deliver the 'insurance with principles' brand experience.

Creechurch
Stephen Gargrave and Steve Warren have joined Creechurch Underwriting's Syndicate 1607 to manage its new marine and energy account.

Both join from Limit, where Gargrave was an active underwriter on Syndicate 2724 and Warren was deputy underwriter.

They will be joined by Limit colleagues Phillip Sandle, Geoff Tin, Tim Garrett, Amanda Furlong and Debbie Hand later this year.

Xchanging
Roger Townsend joins Xchanging on 4 July as managing director of the London insurance market sector, including Xchanging Insure Services.

Townsend is currently managing director for key client relationships and retail funds services business at the Bank of New York, and will replace Clive Buesnel in his new role.

From 4 July Buesnel will be responsible for Xchanging's US and Asia Pacific business strategy, as well as continuing responsibility for the Lloyd's claims strategy for the London market.

Searchlight Solutions
Insurance training specialist Searchlight Solutions has appointed Gill Rideout as relationship and development manager covering the UK from the Midlands northwards.

Rideout joins from Cox's online broking facility brokersure.co.uk, where she was business development executive.

Paula Capel
Broker Bollington Group has promoted Paula Capell to national development manager of its care division.

Bollington Care specialises in the provision of insurance and risk management advice to the children's care home sector.

Capell, who has worked at Bollington for eight years, was closely involved in setting up the care division. She will now be responsible for developing accounts across the UK.

Bollington's chairman, Paul Moors, said: "Paula's promotion will help us consolidate our leading position in the children's care home industry and further develop our brand in the charity and not-for-profit sector."

Capell, who is currently studying for the ACII, enjoys going to the gym in her spare time. She is also a member of Bollington's netball team.
