HBOS General InsuranceHBOS General Insurance has appointed Jerry White as managing director of Halifax Insurance Ireland.White joined HBOS Insurance in 1986. He recently led the IT function and the implementation of FSA compliance across the HBOS group.
Parker NorfolkAlan Cockerill has joined Parker Norfolk and Partners. He joins from RL Davison and Co, where he specialised in fleet placement and handling of wholesale motor fleet insurance business for more than 20 years. He will be adopting a similar role in his new post.
Cooper GayCooper Gay has appointed Philip Lundberg as a director within its non-marine division.Lundberg has more than 20 years' experience in the broking sector. He was previously senior vice president at Bowring / Marsh Energy Onshore Division.

Combined InsuranceCombined Insurance has appointed Tim Thirlway as senior market research executive. Thirlway previously worked at Toyota GB, NOP, Skybridge Group and Lorien Focus. He has 15 years' marketing experience.
Norwich UnionNorwich Union (NU) has appointed Andy Keane as motor underwriting manager for its commercial motor and motor fleet business. Keane was previously senior motor underwriter with NU. He has 18 years' underwriting and marketing experience.
HighwayHighway has appointed Alan Bradbury as private car underwriter. Bradbury was previously commercial vehicle section leader at Cox Insurance.
ChaucerWilliam Alderton has been appointed to underwrite the international binders account for the property division of Chaucer Syndicate 1084. Alderton joins Chaucer from Heritage Managing Agency.
AXANeil Cotterrill has been appointed area development manager for AXA Insurance in the South East.Cotterrill has been with AXA for two years in a sales development role and has 12 years' market experience.
FirstAssistFirstAssist has appointed Swag Mukerji as group finance director. Mukerji becomes a director of the holding company and a member of the executive management team led by Tim Ablett.Mukerji joins FirstAssist from his position as finance director at Biocompatibles International.

Iain Baker Iain Baker has joined Stratford-upon-Avon based mutual insurer NFU Mutual as its new appointed actuary.Baker joins NFU Mutual from AXA Life in Bristol, where he was capital manage-ment actuary."I am delighted to join NFU Mutual," Baker said.
